Qimo AI Photo Editor ("Qimo", "the App", "we", "us") is a photo editing application that uses artificial intelligence to colorize, enhance, upscale, remove backgrounds, expand, restore, and edit photos. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

This policy is written to comply with the Google Play Developer Program Policies (including the User Data and Families policies), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Device Identifier (Hashed)

To let you keep your credits and generation history without creating a traditional account, the App reads a device‑level identifier. This identifier is hashed on our servers before it is ever stored – we do not store your raw device ID. The hashed value is used solely as an account key to track your credit balance and restore your entitlements when you reinstall the App.

1.2 Photos and Images You Edit

When you use any AI editing feature, your photo is temporarily uploaded to our secure cloud infrastructure and processed by our AI service providers to generate the edited result.
We do not manually view, review, or use your photos for any purpose other than generating the result you requested.

• Your original photo and the edited output are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within a short period (typically 24 hours) after processing, regardless of success.
• We do not retain copies of your original or edited photos on our servers beyond this automatic deletion window. Edited results are delivered directly to your device; the App does not permanently archive them.

Please only use these features with your own photos or photos you have the right and permission to use, and avoid uploading photos of other identifiable people without their consent.

1.3 Usage and Diagnostic Data

We use analytics and crash‑reporting tools to understand how the App is used (e.g., feature usage, session length, performance) and to detect and fix technical errors. This data is associated with an anonymous installation identifier and does not include your photos or their contents.

1.4 Push Notification Token

We may send you service notifications (for example, when an AI generation is complete). This requires a device push token, which does not by itself identify you personally.

1.5 Advertising Identifier

We use advertising services (such as Google AdMob) to display ads that support the free version of the App. These services may collect your Advertising ID (a resettable identifier, not your Android ID) and other technical information to serve ads and, if you have consented, personalized ads. See Section 6 for your opt‑out options.

1.6 Purchase and Subscription Data

Subscriptions and credit packs are processed through Google Play Billing. When you make a purchase, the payment processor verifies your purchase and activates your entitlements. We do not receive or store your payment card details – all payment processing is handled directly by Google Play.

1.7 Network and Security Data

For fraud prevention and abuse protection, our servers temporarily process technical metadata such as IP addresses, timestamps, and request signatures to enforce rate limits and verify that requests come from legitimate copies of the App. This information is used transiently for security purposes and is not used to build an advertising profile.

1.8 Customer Support

If you contact us for support or send feedback (e.g., by email), we will receive your email address and the content of your message so we can respond to you.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we don't do:

• We do not collect your name, physical address, or phone number.
• We do not require you to create an account with a password.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not permanently store the photos you edit.
• We do not use your photos to train AI models.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App's editing features;
• Track and restore your credit balance and subscription status across sessions;
• Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
• Diagnose crashes and improve app stability and performance;
• Send you service‑related notifications;
• Display advertising (free tier) and process purchases (paid features);
• Respond to your support requests;
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Third‑Party Services We Use

We rely on reputable third‑party services to help us operate the App. These providers may process data outside your country of residence, under their own privacy policies and applicable data protection safeguards. Below is a summary of the main services and their purposes:

5. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

• All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using industry‑standard protocols.
• Photos uploaded for AI processing are stored temporarily and automatically deleted within a short time (typically 24 hours).
• Your device identifier is hashed before storage and cannot be reversed to reveal your original device ID.
• Your credit balance and subscription status are stored in our database, keyed to your hashed device identifier, for as long as you use the App.
• Support emails are retained only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry, unless a longer period is required by law.
• While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Advertising Choices

You can manage ad personalization at any time:

• In‑app: Settings → Ad Personalization (if available).
• On your device: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android).

Turning off personalization does not stop ads from appearing – it only reduces how relevant they are to you.

7. Children's Privacy

Qimo is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at orion.apps.team@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

Parents/guardians: if your child uses this App, please supervise their use of AI editing features, particularly when uploading photos of other people.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the categories of information we hold about you;
• Delete your data, including any residual account/credit record tied to your hashed device ID;
• Restrict or object to certain processing;
• Withdraw consent for ad personalization at any time;
• Data portability, where applicable;
• Non‑discrimination for exercising these rights (California residents, under the CCPA);
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EU/EEA residents, under the GDPR).

Since the App does not use a traditional login, deleting the App and clearing its data will remove your local session. To request deletion of any residual server‑side record, email us at orion.apps.team@gmail.com with your device information.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
